By just looking at the records, it would seem that the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders and the Arkansas State Red Wolves were the same team.  They are both currently 8-3 on the year with 6-1 records in their conference.  That is where the teams similarities differ, however. While the Blue Raiders have been squeaking out victories throughout the year, the Red Wolves have been dominating most of the teams they play with their 27th ranked offense. Because of this, the college football odds have Arkansas at a -9.5 point spread against Middle Tennessee on their upcoming game. Looking at all of the Blue Raiders rankings, it is clear that there is no really strong point to the team. With a 56th ranked defense and 66th ranked offense, they have been winning game because their team is strong at their core but not unstoppable in any area.  This is where they will run into trouble this coming Saturday. The Red Wolves, while only slightly worse than the Blue Raiders on defense, are quite a bit better than them on offense.  Middle Tennessee will need to find a way to make points quickly in the game as a way to ride out the wave of points that Arkansas State will surely score throughout the showdown.  If they can get up quick, the Blue Raiders just might have a chance to get a win on the day.  It will surely put them at better odds than if they just tried to make this a defensive game. With both teams at the same record on the season, it is hard to choose who will come out victorious on the day.  While the Blue Raiders have a lot working against them, picking the Red Wolves at such a high points disadvantage is a very risky proposition.  One thing is for certain and that is that this game will be one for the books for sure.
