Jon Niese & Eddie Kunz scouted...

Toby Hyde of Mets Minor league blog is reporting that a Mets top scouting official was accompanied by two scouts from other teams during a recent series against the Knights, for details see Toby's post.I think Niese is our most appealing prospect, many small market teams would have him in their rotation already. But Niese is an expendable prospect IMO, he projects at best to be a middle of the rotation pitcher and the Mets have three young pitchers already in the middle of the rotation ( Pelfrey, Maine, Perez) and better prospects behind Niese ( Holt, Mejia). Eddie Kunz is one of the main reasons, I think if Bobby Parnell is such a hot commodity, for the right player he's expendable. I believe Kunz could be in the majors having the same success that Parnell is currently having. If a team preferred Parnell over Kunz, for a non-rental, impact player I would deal Parnell and be confident that Kunz could replace him.
