Childress signed a 3 year deal with Olimpiakos in Greece. Childress averaged 11.1 points and over 5 rebounds a game last season as the 6th man for the Atlanta Hawks. This move is a common one but usually among lower tier foreign born players. Earlier this month hoops prodigy Brandon Jennings opted to go play ball in Europe for a year rather than try to qualify academically at Arizona. Usually the offers form foreign clubs are just used for leverage but this could be a trend that has more young men born on American soil jetting overseas for big time contracts.
