Just how good are these Dallas Cowboys?

Just back from Denver after a short night ... and I was wondering just how good are these Dallas Cowboys? Are they a 10- or 11- win team that's being "coached down" to an 8-8 mark or are they simply what they are, a team with mediocre talent that'll finish around the .500 mark? I think this team lacks playmakers. Who besides Felix Jones scares any defenses, and Jones can't stay on the field because of injuries. Roy Williams doesn't seem to be a No. 1 receiver. Well, maybe for the Lions. QB Tony Romo seems to be thinking too much now, a far contract from his gun-slinging days. The defense played well, but LB DeMarcus Ware hasn't had the same impact he had a year ago and CB Terence Newman has been terribly inconsistent. I'm interested in what you think ... thoughts?
