From the Crew Chief, Scott Zipadelli…“Phoenix [International Raceway] loses grip as the weekend goes. We practice in the morning and race in the afternoon after the track has had a lot of rubber laid down. It’s always a challenge getting the cars balanced right on the first pit stop, and then keeping up with the changing track the rest of the race. The race goes by fast and can have very long green runs, so pit strategy is very important.” Justin Allgaier on Phoenix International Raceway: “We had a great finish at Daytona [International Speedway] and Phoenix is one of my favorite tracks on the schedule. Its unique shape and challenging corners make it fun for me to try and set up the car to drive well in both corners. I’m looking forward to my second race with crew chief Scott Zipadelli and hope to bring home a trophy.”
