After two games and seemingly a million lineups, player combinations and headaches that have accompanied it all, Nuggets coach Brian Shaw is considering, well, another lineup change. This one deals with the starters, and mostly boils down to the power forward spot, where he's pondering whether it's time to get Kenneth Faried back among the opening five. "There'll probably be some changes," Shaw said. "At this moment, I'm not at liberty to really say. We'll have two good days of practice (Saturday) and Monday to kind of figure that out. Definitely (we) are going to have to inject some more energy to start out the games." Faried has not started either of the Nuggets' first two games as he worked his way back from a hamstring injury and got caught up on learning the offensive sets he missed while sitting out practice. Faried has said he's been ready to go since he was cleared to play by team doctors before the season opener at Sacramen...

Rocky the Denver Nuggets mascot passed out while being lowered to the court

Friday night fans of the Denver Nuggets had a scary moment during the team’s home opener. The Nuggets mascot, Rocky, reportedly suffered a dizzy spell and passed out while being lowered from the rafters to kick off player introductions. Yikes, hope this isn’t an omen for the new season. The Nuggets have a new coach in Brian Shaw but the team doesn’t seem to have the spark...

Denver Nuggets Mascot Inadvertently Terrifies Fans By Passing Out During Entrance

Here we have a story that screams “Halloween prank”, as Rocky, the Denver Nuggets’ mascot, made a very terrifying (and very real) entrance onto the Pepsi Center court Friday night. Denver Nuggets Home Opener, Throttled by Portland

Denver Nuggets lose home opener vs LaMarcus Aldridge and Portland Trailblazers The Denver Nuggets home opener was Friday night. Friday night it looked pretty clear that the Nuggets would not have the same dominance...

Nuggets' frontcourt players battle for playing time

Playing time is one of basketball players' most sensitive subjects. Right now in the Nuggets' frontcourt, it's a super-sensitive subject. Getting minutes is as competitive as it will ever get. Center JaVale McGee and forward Kenneth Faried found that out the hard way in the season opener against Sacramento. Foul trouble played into McGee's 10 minutes, and a lack...

It’s a bird…it’s a plane…it’s… Denver’s lifeless mascot descending from the ceiling

The Denver Nuggets were celebrating their home opener on Friday night against the Portland Trail Blazers when the team’s mascot, Rocky, made his grand entrance from the arena’s rafters. Something wasn’t exactly right with Rocky though. As he made his descent to the floor (tethered to a rope of course) it appeared that the mascot was completely lifeless. That assumption really...

That followed the Nuggets' decision to trade Carmelo Anthony in 2011. "The hard part of pro sports is staying patient," Josh Kroenke said in a rare sit-down interview. "We need to stay patient enough to evaluate what...

Denver Nuggets: Analyzing Current Roster and NBA Draft Needs

Last season, the Denver Nuggets racked up the most wins in franchise history (post-ABA/NBA merger), going 57-25 during the regular season before losing a six-game series to the Golden State Warriors in the first round of the NBA Playoffs. Unfortunately, the offseason was a major setback for the squad, and it all started with the firing of George Karl, who was let go after leading...
