Amare Stoudemire's history of knee issues continues.  The New York Knicks forward will undergo knee debridement surgery, the same procedure that sidelined him at the beginning of the season.  The need for surgery was announced yesterday after Stoudemire was originally listed as a game-time decision. According to Ian Begley of ESPN New York, Stoudemire will miss six weeks because of the surgery.  The team is going to need to find bench production from somewhere else.  For the most part, Stoudemire has been a solid producer in his new role coming off the bench. "He's a big piece to the puzzle," coach Mike Woodson said. "It's a major loss to what we're trying to do but we're going to have to wait on him and continue our climb."Stoudemire has battled knee problems for much of his career.  However, he always seems able to overcome them and continue playing.  This latest injury couldn't have come at a worse time for the Knicks.  New York has been struggling since January, and they need all the help they can get to stay on track. This season, Stoudemire has averaged 14.2 points and 5.0 rebounds per game.  His numbers have been severely reduced by his limited role.  In his career, Stoudemire has averaged 21.3 points and 8.6 rebounds per game.
