It seems like a championship-winning shot wasn't enough for LeBron James to shed the ridiculous "unclutch" label he's had for years.
ESPN Magazine polled 26 NBA players and not one of them said they would prefer James taking the final shot in a game in which Kobe Bryant or Michael Jordan were on the floor.
James doesn't seem to care, though, about the lack of respect from his peers.
From ESPNs Brian Windhorst:
"Players in our league said that? All right," James said after the Miami Heat went through a workout in New York City before their exhibition game Thursday in Brooklyn.
"I really don't care what 30 guys in our league say about me taking the last shot. I've got a few game winners in my career. I don't let teams hang around too much for the last shot. I don't think the definition of clutch is who takes the last shot. There are guys who come through for their teams in different circumstances.&q...

LeBron James and a bunch of creative teens express themselves with the same intense passion LeBron brings to the game of basketball using his celebratory “LeBron face.”

For some NBA players, seeing LeBron James barreling at them coming full speed can be a nightmare in itself. Allowing James to run over you on his way to the basket can be even worse. During the Heat vs Nets preseason game Paul Pierce sent LeBron James a message that should hold some weight for months to come. Unless you’ve been under a rock somewhere, the Miami Heat and Boston...
LeBron James is in a very good place right now and I’m not talking about physically (even though Miami is a pretty damn good place), but I’m referring more to his mental state.
That’s what winning back-to-back Finals MVP awards will do for you. James was already regarded as the best player on the planet prior to winning a championship but now he finally realizes it.
Kevin Garnett responded to LeBron James on Thursday, telling the Miami Heat star to worry about his own team. The Heat played the Brooklyn Nets in the preseason on Thursday. The game between the two led to questions concerning Ray Allen facing his former Boston Celtics teammates, who were traded to the Nets over the […]
I have my own theory as to why LeBron James and Michael Jordan aren’t that personally close, but I’ll share that with you later. First, here’s what LeBron had to say about whether or not he wished he had more of a relationship with Jordan to Chris Broussard. “Ahhh, I mean, I don’t know. […]
Second-year shooting guard Bradley Beal torched the Miami Heat on Tuesday night with 29 points (in 31 minutes, no less) in a 100-82 victory for the Washington Wizards. But it was LeBron James who stole the show in the second quarter, throwing down back-to-back powerful fast break dunks that prove he’s ready for the season to begin.

Andrew Wiggins has been called the best player to come out of high school since LeBron James. While James has not talked to Wiggins, the Miami Heat superstar forward has some sage advice for the KU freshman phenom.
Ric Bucher has a new gig at the Bleacher Report, and what better way to reintroduce yourself to the masses than by getting the LeBron stans riled up on a Thursday afternoon.
Bucher has taken a hit for this statement before, and once again reaffirmed it on Tuesday when he took to Twitter to proclaim that he’d take Derrick Rose as a player over LeBron James.
Bucher was nice enough...
For all the respect LeBron James' prodigious talent commands Kevin Garnett has long disdained the planet's best player. Part of it has been the cutthroat competition in the Eastern Conference part of it James' precarious progression to maturity part of it simply a belief that LeBron's full of it.
"Tell LeBron to worry about Miami" Garnett grumbled late...
A lot of debate has happened over whether or not LeBron James is a guy you'd want taking clutch shots if the game your life or all of humanity was on the line. Guys like Carmelo Anthony Kobe Bryant Dirk Nowitzki and others are people you're supposed to want to pick to take that shot in today's NBA. Michael Jordan Larry Bird Robert Horry and Reggie Miller are historic...
Eric Griffin might not see the floor much this season for the Heat, if he even makes the team, but at least he brought a smile to the face of the best player in the NBA on Thursday.
Griffin, an undrafted rookie out of Campbell, opened eyes with his vertical leap during summer league and earned a training camp invitation. He has averaged only 2.0 points and 1.4 rebounds in five preseason...
The Miami Heat and Brooklyn Nets are set to square off against each other in a preseason game Thursday night. However, it appears the trash talk has begun before the two teams even step on the floor.
When Ray Allen left the Boston Celtics in favor of Miami, former teammates Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce were extremely critical of him. Now that both Garnett and Pierce have left...

LeBron James and former Celtics Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce have had a past of clashing heads — in a respective way — but recently, James spluttered with a few comments that were unsettling to the Brooklyn duo.
James, who is entering his 10th year in the NBA, gave a whole lot of criticism to Garnett and Pierce backing up his fellow teammate...
So LeBron James thinks that the criticism Heat teammate and former Celtic Ray Allen received in the past from Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce and Doc Rivers for leaving Boston is preposterous (his exact words began with, "Wow".) - specially since the latter three are now former Celtics as well. Well, as our colleague Mark details here (with an update of Truth & KG'...
There were reports on Tuesday about college basketball phenom Andrew Wiggins who is attending the University of Kansas for his presumed one year of college ball getting $180 million from adidas if he signed with the shoe company when he is eligible to do so. This raised quite a few eyebrows because that would be by far the biggest shoe deal given to a player before he played in the...
