Mick is a boxer puppy with a disability known as Swimmer Puppy Syndrome, a condition that weakens the adductor muscles that pull its legs together. Because of the weakened muscles, the puppy’s legs will splay out to the side, rendering it unable to sit, stand or walk. Most puppies afflicted are euthanized because of the intense therapy required to correct the disability.
