PLAYERS: Jason Hanson
TEAMS: Detroit Lions
Paula Pasche of the Oakland Press writes that Lions K Jason Hanson is still weighing his options as to whether or not he’ll be returning for 22nd season in the NFL. “I told them I really want to take my time and make sure that I’m not making a mistake by coming back and not going to regret that I left if I do,’’ said Hanson. Hanson, 42, will be an unrestricted free agent in a matter of weeks, but it’s highly unlikely that he would be considering any team other than the Lions. Detroit has made it clear that they would like Hanson to return for another season, but it seems likely that he would have to be willing to take a pay cut from the $2.3 million salary he made last season. Throughout his career, Hanson has made 495 field goals out of 601 attempts and has scored a total of 2150 points as the Lions kicker.   The post Lions K Jason Hanson Still Pondering Retirement appeared first on NFL Trade Rumors -.
