Orlando, Fla. (April 15, 2013) In celebration of the Orlando Magics silver season, the team has unveiled a commemorative 25th Anniversary logo. This additional look celebrates the past, incorporates the present and previews the future. As the team and the Magic brand continues to grow, the logo meshes the original pinstripe jersey design with the Magics current iconic star ball secondary logo, building on the heritage and history of the Magic from its birth in 1989.
The Orlando Magic is an organization whose mission is for excellence both on and off the court. For 25 years the teams logo has represented that excellence. This new look provides us an opportunity to reflect on where weve been and look forward to where we are headed, said Orlando Magic CEO Alex Martins. Our silver season logo signifies the history we are creating each dayevery game, every play, every moment really is history in the making. We are excited about the direction we are headed as we build on the legend already created as one of the winningest franchises in the Eastern Conference over the past 20 years and look forward to the future of Magic basketball.
In addition to the 25th Anniversary logo, the Magic will unveil a new campaign this summer to celebrate its Silver Season. The campaign will celebrate with the Orlando community the Magics success and rich history of legendary moments, players, people and fans while building on an exciting future.
The 25 years of Magic basketball have seen great success for a relatively young franchise including five division championships (1995, 1996, 2008, 2009, 2010), seven 50-plus win seasons and Eastern Conference titles in 1995 and 2009.
In addition to its on-the-court success, the team gives more than 2 million to the local community by way of sponsorships of events, donated tickets, autographed merchandise, scholarships and grants. Including more than 18 million distributed to local nonprofit community organizations via the Orlando Magic Youth Foundation and the Orlando Magic Youth Fund (OMYF-MFF), a McCormick Foundation Fund since 1994. Orlando Magic community relations programs annually impact an estimated 100,000 kids each year, while the OMYF-MFF has positively impacted more than 1 million children. The Magic Volunteer Program (MVP), an organizational staff-wide initiative, provides more than 6,000 community volunteer hours per year.

The Magic will close their 24th home season Monday night against the Bulls with the usual pomp and circumstance that comes with the final game of the season. Well, maybe not the usual as the Magic will miss the Playoffs for the first time since 2007.

The Magic's home finale mirrored their season in so many ways.
There was the hot start led by surprising energy from players no one expected to do anything. There was Nikola Vucevic slipping by Carlos Boozer for an offensive rebound and put back. There was Tobias Harris splitting the double team and going in for an emphatic dunk. There was Maurice Harkless driving to the...
