On Tuesday, the Seattle Mariners got a bit of a scare when Felix Hernandez made a nice play to second base but came up wincing.  He was examined by trainers and even threw a few warm-up pitches after the incident, but he ultimately tried to stay in the game.  Unfortunately, the Mariners ended up lifting him in the sixth because of pain in his back.  Yesterday, it looks like Hernandez was still feeling the affects of a tweaked back, but he should be fine. Greg Johns of MLB.com says Hernandez was feeling fine yesterday when he arrived at the stadium.  He said his back was a little sore, but he was improved compared with how he felt Tuesday night.  There are no plans for Hernandez to miss his next start. "He's good," Wedge said. "He said it was pretty sore this morning, but he feels good, and [trainer Rick Griffin] felt he got him in a good place after the game last night. He's feeling good today, so we should be fine." There's no question, the loss of Hernandez would be devastating to the Mariners.  Seattle is just two games under .500 - which is impressive considering the division in which they play.  However, if they were to lose Hernandez, the team would have a hard time even hovering near the .500 mark.  Hernandez has already accounted for nearly three wins according to Baseball Reference. Seattle signed Hernandez to a huge, seven-year, $175 million extension this offseason.  He has been one of the best young pitchers in baseball, so it was not surprising to see him get paid well.  It was surprising to see that money come from the Mariners. Hernandez is 103-78 with a 3.15 ERA in his nine-year career.  He won the American League Cy Young in 2010 and is a three-time All-Star.   Follow @mlbinjurynews Looking for fantasy baseball advice?
