Last night was pretty fun, wasn’t it? We should do it again sometime. How about tonight? Jeff Walz and the Louisville women’s basketball program have an opportunity to give the University of Louisville their second national championship in a matter of 24-hours. The Lady Cards will take on the UConn Huskies in New Orleans for the national title at 8:30 PM on ESPN.
Louisville is a very familiar situation. For the fourth consecutive game, they’ll be the underdog. While the men’s team met their expectations last night as they cut down the nets in Atlanta, the women’s team has done the unthinkable by making it to the title game.
This is the second time in five years that Jeff Walz and the Lady Cards will play for a national championship. Coincidentally, the UConn Huskies were also the Cardinals opponent in the 2009 title game.
