Ryon Healy hit a two-run double in the eighth to give Oregon a 3-2 win against South Dakota State Friday night in the NCAA Eugene regional. Oregon had just one hit before Healy's double reached left-center field and gave the Ducks (46-14) their first lead. The Ducks chased South Dakota State starting pitcher Layne Somsen with J.J. Altobelli's leadoff walk in the eighth. Altobelli went to second on Brett Thomas' sacrifice bunt before Jackrabbits reliever J.D. Moore hit Aaron Payne with a pitch. Healy followed and drove in both. Oregon closer Jimmie Sherfy finished the game in the ninth for his 21st save of the season. Oregon advances to play Rice, while South Dakota State (35-23) will take on San Francisco in a loser-out game on Saturday.
