Pablo Sandoval became the fourth player in World Series history to hit three home runs in a World Series game.  The other three? Babe Ruth Reggie Jackson and Albert Pujols You may have heard of those guys. While the first three are among the greatest home runs hitters of all time, Sandoval is not.  He hit only 12 home runs in all of 2012.  (And St. Louis Cardinal fans thought #12in2012 was for the hope of their 12th World Series Championship...actually it was code for Sandoval) Sandoval, aka Kung Fu Panda, has all of 76 career home runs - three more home runs than former San Francisco Giant Barry Bonds, who was aided by some cream and flax seed oil, had in one season. Sandoval has hit two home runs in a game five times in his 5 year career. Sandoval hit two home runs off Justin Verlander.  Verlander is the best pitcher in baseball right now.  The third of Sandoval's historic home run evening came off Al Albuquerque. Sandoval has hit the most home runs in his career off current Arizona Diamondback Daniel Hudson (3) and San Diego Padres lifer Tim Stauffer (3). He has 37 career regular season home runs at AT&T Park in San Francisco. Looking ahead?  Pablo Sandoval has a home run off Detroit starter Max Scherzer at Comerica Park (2011) in Detroit...Game 4's potential match up. The key to Sandoval's success?  A meaningless ninth inning home run in Game 4 of the NLCS off St. Louis Cardinals reliever Fernando Salas.  Since then, the Giants have been outscored opponents St. Louis (3) and Detroit (1) by a combined 30-4 score.  Sandoval is 10-17 during that time with 5 HR's and 2 doubles. This is October, not the Astros...the Giants and Sandoval are on quite a roll. Until Next Time, Craig Turley @That_Dude_CT H/T:  Baseball-Reference
