Jerome Felton will enter his second year in the Vikings' offense and he could find a more sizable role. Besides helping backfield mate Adrian Peterson rack up a massive amount of yards, Felton wants to get involved in other facets of the offense. The team wants to integrate him more into the passing game, where he had some success in Detroit before coming to the Vikings. He says he is finally enjoying himself, after he had to deal with the being arrested on a DWI charge in Eden Prairie in 2012. Felton feels coming to the Vikings has changed his career and maybe his life. "I love playing football, but the last four years have been kind of rough," Felton said, via Ben Goessling of Twincities.com. "It just feels night and day. I can just be myself. I can enjoy football, like I used to, and just be the best player I can be. I think all that stuff is out the window, and I can just focus on being a great player." "You start thinking, 'Am I ever going to get in a situation where the fit's going to be right?' " Felton said. "That was the biggest stressor. Just to finally find a place that feels like home, and feel like you can impact the team in a game. It motivates me." "Just to have your impact on that game, and that it matters, it feels good," he said. "I just felt like, 'This coaching staff is really in tune with the players. They're good people.' You don't see that all the time. I think we're going to build on it this year."
