this photo by Mary Schwalm, Eagle-Tribune of former Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez was removed by the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
According to the Cleveland Plain-Dealer, the Pro Football Hall of Fame has removed the photo above of former Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez.
The Pro Football Hall of Fame has removed a photo of former New England Patriot Aaron Hernandez celebrating a touchdown from a display after several visitors complained about its presence.
The 2010 photo of Hernandez scoring a TD was an award-winning image from the annual HOF photo contest. Hall officials removed it from a display earlier this week.
“In the spirit of good taste we thought we’d take it down,” said Joe Horrigan, the hall’s vice president of communication and exhibits.
While I understand why they removed the photo, it’s a little disheartening that the NFL has done so much to erase Hernandez from their league before he’s been convicted of any crimes.

The Pouncey Brothers are University of Florida alums, so that is the connection between them and Aaron Hernandez. Technically, it is innocent until proven guilty and every defendant has a presumption of innocence, so there shouldn’t be anything wrong with wearing these hats.

It seems we learn something new everyday.
Every season, the Pro Football Hall of Fame reportedly asks a panel of photography experts to choose the best NFL photo of the year.
That photographer gets an award, and the picture is put on permanent display at the Hall of Fame. A photo of former Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez high-stepping into the end zone to score a go ahead touchdown...
This could be one of the dumbest things ever done by high profile athletes. Really, this makes Ochocinco taping his lawyer on the rear after a verdict seem smart. Aaron Hernandez was charged with murder and all signs point towards him being guilty. But that did not stop the Pouncey twins from wearing “Free Hernandez” hats at a party.
There are rumors that the Pouncey brothers...
Hot News for TE Aaron Hernandez
Aaron Hernandez was placed in solitary confinement at the Bristol County House of Corrections immediately after he was booked, and it appears that is where the former New England Patriots tight end is going to remain for the foreseeable future. TMZ reported on Friday that jail officials have stated it is in Hernandez’s “best interest” [...]
Mike and Maurkice Pouncey are apparently firm believers in “innocent until proven guilty.”
The identical twin centers were spotted wearing “Free Hernandez” hats at a nightclub. Mike and Maurkice, who play for the Dolphins and Steelers, respectively, were teammates with Aaron Hernandez at the University of Florida. Mike was Hernandez’s roommate in Gainesville.
The Pouncey brothers were both teammates of Aaron Hernandez, so when they showed up on the internet wearing "Free Hernandez" hats, it wasn't surprising.
It also wasn't surprising when their respective teams, the Dolphins and Steelers, were reportedly not happy about that incident. Pittsburgh appears to have gotten to the older brother Maurkice, as he today released...
In America you are deemed innocent until proven guilty. However, the court of public opinion often operates from a slightly different tilt. Two twin brother NFL players are showing their support for accused murderer, former Patriot, Aaron Hernandez. The Pouncey twins played with Hernandez at the University of Florida and won a BCS title together. The twins have set internet tongues...
Late night talk show host Conan O’Brien took the opportunity to throw a zinger in the New England Patriots’ direction during one of his recent opening monologues. Conan was discussing a new DC Comic in which Superman kills someone, then jokes that the Patriots signed him afterwards – obviously a reference to the whole Aaron Hernandez murder saga.
On a related note, Superman...
Three weeks ago, Carlos Ortiz had a much different relationship with former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez. The 27-year-old was not a star witness who may be providing investigators with enough information to put Hernandez away for life. Instead, he was a close friend. Ortiz hangs around on a street called Davis Drive [...]
Brothers Mike and Maurkice Pouncey took some heat over the weekend when a photo of the NFL centers wearing “Free Hernandez” hats, as in former Florida teammate Aaron Hernandez, at a nightclub surfaced on the interwebs. Now, they appear to be backing away from that staunch statement.
Maurkice took to Twitter on Monday morning to express his deep regret for appearing to make...
Pittsburgh Steelers All-Pro center Maurkice Pouncey has

Pittsburgh Steelers center Maurkice Pouncey and his twin brother Mike Pouncey of the Miami Dolphins will both turn 24 in a little over a week, but being as training camps will be starting soon, they decided to celebrate early with a party Saturday night at Club Cameo in Miami.
