Rays’ pitcher Alex Cobb got nailed by a comebacker off of the bat of Royals’ Eric Hosmer and it was as scary as it gets. As you can see from the video Alex did his best to avoid being hit but the line drive came at him too quickly. The Rays released a statement saying that Cobb was hit in right ear but was also conscious the entire time, including on the way to the hospital. They also said that “all signs are good for now.” Our prayers are with Alex for a speedy recovery.
