Pro Sports Daily:
The Cavaliers held a players only meeting earlier this week, after losing by 29 points to the Timberwolves which put them at just 3-7 through the team’s first 10 games.
There were reports that the meeting turned contentious, and that players confronted one another about how things were playing out — none of which is a great sign less than three weeks into the regular season.
It was rumored that the play of Dion Waiters was one of the meeting’s issues, but others denied that was the case. Whether there’s something going on internally where Waiters is concerned or there isn’t, he hasn’t been with the team since Wednesday’s loss, and an illness with little details is what’s being blamed for his absence.

Dion Waiters has gone missing. At least this is what the story has evolved into, grade school telephone style. The Cleveland Cavaliers are adamant that their second-year shooting guard is home sick, loading up with multiple illness-ridding prescriptions. The timing of Waiters’ absence—no tweets published, nary an Instagram upload—is a subject of scrutiny as it comes just...
The guys on the Cleveland Cavaliers’ roster apparently doesn’t know how this is supposed to work. A players-only meeting is intended to get guys on the same page and to right the ship. An altercation is the last thing that […]
Kyrie Irving had Glen Rice Jr. dancing around the court with a couple crossovers on this possession during the Washington Wizards-Cleveland Cavaliers game Saturday night. Irving is known as one of the league’s finest ball-handlers in today’s game. Rice Jr. learned first-hand what can happen when Irving has the ball and space to operate. Kyrie tore it down in this contest, scoring...
We men. Nobody got into no altercations or anything like that. We got everything off our chests that we needed to. That’s that. All the other rumors, man, are rumors—don’t believe it, it’s not true. We talked—everybody talked. Nobody put their hands on nobody. At the end of the day, we’re teammates. Like I said, I’d rather fight somebody else on the other team than...
After finding, 5 straight road losses the Cleveland Cavaliers were able to finally pick up their first road win by beating the Washington Wizards 103-96. What’s even more amazing is Kyrie Irving had 41 points in the game while playing with a broken nose. The Cleveland Cavaliers had a players only meeting last week following a loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves. One of the topics allegedly brought up in the meeting was the play of Dion Waiters. Since that meeting, Waiters has developed some sort of mystery ailment and hasn’t been seen by the team.
The meeting was intense – the Cavs played terrible and lost by 29 points – but...
Anthony Bennett has had a slow start to his NBA career, but the Cleveland Cavaliers are not considering sending him to the D-League.
"The Cavs think Bennett can learn and develop more here at the moment," wrote Cavaliers' beat writer Mary Schmitt Boyer.
A No. 1 pick has never been sent to the D-League, though Hasheem Thabeet was sent there by the Memphis Grizzlies as the No. 2 pick.
Kyrie Irving is sporting a swollen, purple right eye, but his nose is straight. And that's all that matters to the Cavaliers point guard.
Even so, Irving will have to wear a protective face mask for about two weeks, he said, after learning Friday that he suffered a broken nose when he was elbowed by the Timberwolves' Corey Brewer during the first quarter of Cleveland'...
Kyrie Irving scored nine of his 41 points in overtime to help the Cleveland Cavaliers snap a three-game skid with a 103-96 victory over the Washington Wizards on Saturday night.
Irving scored seven straight points on three possessions in overtime to give Cleveland the lead for good. He later added an 18-foot jumper to match his career high and finish 14 of 28 from the floor and...
Dion Waiters has returned to the Cleveland Cavaliers, and it seems he’s feeling better and interested in clearing up a few rumors.
The first question Waiters got upon his return wasn’t about his illness, but about whether or not he blacked Kyrie Irving’s eye during a fight?
Waiters spoke about his mysterious illness, the contentious team meeting, and his issues with Irving...
Anthony Bennett has had a rough start to his NBA career, but the Cleveland Cavaliers are not considering making him the first No. 1 overall pick to be sent to the D-League.
No No. 1 pick has been sent to the NBA Development League, but the No. 2 pick in 2009 — Hasheem Thabeet — did. The Cavs think Bennett can learn and develop more here at the moment.

I’ll begin with echoing a tweet I fired off in the immediate aftermath of the Cavaliers third straight loss while still inside Quicken Loans Arena in Section 121.
