EuroHopes.com Rick Pitino has added a surprise signee to his 2014 recruiting. Matz Stockman, a 7-foot-2 center from Norway has signed a national letter of intent with the University of Louisville. Jody Demling of CardinalAuthority.com was the first to break the story. Stockman most recently attended The Canarias Basketball Academy, one of the top basketball institutions in Europe. EuroHopes.com, a site dedicated to covering up and coming European basketball prospects, ranks Stockman as the 19th best European prospect that was born in 1995. Rick Pitino was definitly in the market for another big man in the 2014 class, however Stockman wasn’t exactly a known prospect on the Louisville radar. However, he does provide the needed size for Louisville’s front-court. He will be the first seven-footer on the roster since Felton Spencer in the late 1980’s. According to EuroBasket.com, Stockman played for the Norway team in the U18 European Championships over the summer and averaged 7.7 points...
