Sacramento Kings: Carl Landry Signing Grade
By Evan Massey: HoopStuff Contributor, Twitter (@massey_evan)
Contract: 4 years, 27 million
Analysis: Carl Landry came off the bench for the Golden State Warriors and put up very serviceable numbers for a backup big man (10.8 PPG, 6.0 RPG) and is expected to fill a major role for the Sacramento Kings. Landry also started during the postseason, once David Lee went down with his torn hip muscle and played very well and proved that he can start in the NBA.
The Kings have a very crowded front-court situation, with guys like Jason Thompson, Patrick Patterson, Chuck Hayes, and obviously DeMarcus Cousins already on the roster, but they are expected to start Carl Landry at this point in time. One factor for this signing is the impact that Landry could have on the talented young big man, Cousins. Cousin has struggled with attitude problems on and off the court and has a history of getting into arguments with coaches, teammates and management.

By Mike Elworth: Owner and Publisher/Hoopstuff…
Kings Receive: Greivis Vasquez, 2 second round picks

The Golden State Warriors continue their assault on free agency today, signing Marreese Speights, Jermaine O’Neal, and Toney Douglas, to go along with their acquisition of Andre Iguodala. Pretty soon of course they’ll be able to challenge the Klingons for interstellar domination (amirite? no? wedding crashers joke too old?)
By the way, I was going to paste the heads of all...
The Golden State Warriors are a team that prized free agents have avoided for most of the last two decades, nothing more than loveable losers with a faithful following and an ambiguous name on the NBA map.
Maybe no more.
Calling it ''a transformative moment for our franchise,'' general manager Bob Myers says Andre Iguodala's addition demonstrates that Golden...
Because the Internet has no life, somebody who probably should be bought a beer put together a supercut of all the “best” bench celebrations from the past NBA season. As you probably have surmised, the Warriors — chiefly, Kent Bazemore – figure prominently in the video. And yet, for some reason, “Bazmoring” is nowhere to be found. What a let down.
European Derrick Rose. Signed.
The Warriors signed guard Nemanja Nedovic, who was selected with the 30th overall pick in the first round, the team announced Tuesday after reaching a buyout agreement with Lietuvos Rytas of the Lithuanian A League.
The Warriors acquired Nedovic’s draft rights from the Phoenix Suns in exchange for the draft rights to the 29th pick and guard Malcolm...
The Sacramento Kings have acquired point guard Greivis Vasquez in a three-team trade agreement reached last week that sends Tyreke Evans to the New Orleans Pelicans.
New Kings general manager Pete D'Alessandro said in a statement Wednesday that Vasquez ''established himself as one of the league's most talented young point guards last season and we're confident...
Mark Jackson will not be a lame duck coach next season.
The Golden State Warriors picked up the option on Jackson's contract for the 2014-15 season on Wednesday. While both sides could still work out a long-term extension this summer, exercising the option at least ensures Jackson won't enter the upcoming season with an expiring contract.
Warriors general manager Bob Myers...

Brian Scalabrine’s fascinating career as an NBA enigma on the court is over, but his coaching career in pro basketball is just getting started.
The 35-year old Scalabrine was named an assistant coach of the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday, news broken by Golden State head coach Mark Jackson on Twitter.
Congrats to @Scalabrine! My newest assistant coach! Welcome my man! #Warriors...
The Warriors finally officially introduced their shiny new toy Andre Iguodala to the media on Thursday, nearly a week after their fan base collectively began hyperventilating at first news of his acquisition. He’s no doubt an upgrade to the Warriors’ core and headlines the new crop of players Bob Myers brought on board this week.
There’s just been one problem. Lots of fans...

Toney Douglas has agreed to sign a one-year deal with the Golden State Warriors.
The Warriors presumably targeted Douglas for his defensive ability as he is not a traditional point guard.
