Tony Sanchez has been named to the Triple-A All-Star game. (Photo Credit: David Hague) The Indianapolis Indians will be sending four players to the Triple-A All-Star game. Tony Sanchez, Vic Black, Josh Harrison, and Kris Johnson have all been selected to the game. Sanchez is having a huge year at the plate, hitting for a .303/.383/.551 line in 198 at-bats. His average, doubles (22), homers (9), and RBIs (36) are the second-most totals among International League catchers. Black has a 2.25 ERA in 28 innings of work, along with a 37:11 K/BB ratio. He missed about a month from the end of May to the end of June, but is still tied for fourth in the IL with 13 saves. Harrison has a .316/.371/.504 line in 250 at-bats this year. He’s been moving back and forth between Pittsburgh and Indianapolis, and was just sent down again yesterday. He will be the starting shortstop for the International League team. Harrison led all of minor league baseball with 20 extra base hits in the month of June. In the International League he is tied for third in doubles (25), tied for third in triples (5) sixth in average (.316), eighth in extra-base hits (34) and tied for eighth in stolen bases (19). Johnson has a 2.89 ERA in 87.1 innings, with a 64:30 K/BB ratio this year. His ERA is third best among International League hitters, and he ranks fourth in wins (7). Johnson was recently named our Pitcher of the Month for the month of June.
