Last week the Kansas Jayhawks sat in the poll at 5-0 and ranked. Their 5-0 ranking looked nice and pretty until you took a look at whom they actually played on the field. Week 1: Northern Colorado (2-5) Week 2: @UTEP (2-4)Week 3: Duke (3-3)Week 4: Southern Miss (4-3)Week 5: Iowa State (4-3)Not all 5-0 records are as good as 4-1 records and this was the case for Kansas, yet the Coaches still decided to rank them ahead of Oregon, amongst others, whose lone loss was at Boise St. and whom had already beaten Utah (5-1) and Cal (4-2).This weekend Kansas lost to a Colorado team that was 1-4 with losses against both Toledo and Colorado State. Kansas might be a good football team, they might win some meaningful Big 12 games and perhaps they will represent the Big 12 North, but last week they should not have been ranked #15 and this week they should not be ranked period (they are in both polls). They have done nothing to warrant any voter consideration and perhaps that is the biggest issue...
