The Nevada State Athletic Commission has medically suspended 10 athletes who competed in last Saturday’s “The Ultimate Fighter 16 Finale” event. Heavyweight Pat Barry (Pictured), Marcos Vinicius, Vinc Pichel and John Cofer could each be riding the pine for up to six months for various injuries sustained in their respective scraps. However, all of the fighters could return to action sooner with a doctor’s note. The Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas hosted last weekend’s show. Here is the promotion’s official IR list: Matt Mitrione: Suspended until January 30th, with no contact until January 15th. Pat Barry: Must receive clearance following right foot x-ray. Otherwise, suspended until June 15th. Shane Del Rosario: Suspended until January 30th, with no contact until January 15th. James Head: Suspended until January 30th, with no contact until January 15th due to right upper eyelid laceration. Marcos Vinicius: Must receive clearance for right infraorbital rim fracture, anterior right maxillary sinus and nasal fractures, otherwise he’s suspended until June 15th. Faces a minimum suspension until February 14th, with no contact until January 30th. Vince Pichel: Must have left foot cleared by an orthopedic doctor, otherwise he’s suspended until June 15th. Faces a minimum suspension until February 14th, with no contact until January 30th. Nick Catone: Suspended until January 15th, with no contact until January 6th. Reuben Duran: Suspended until January 30th, with no contact until January 15th. John Cofer: Must receive clearance following right shoulder x-ray, otherwise he is suspended until June 15th. Jared Papazian: Suspended until January 30th, with no contact until January 15th due to a laceration above his left eye.
