Lazar Hayward was called up by the Minnesota Timberwolves, and he signed an NBA contract on Monday shortly after joining the Los Angeles D-Fenders of the NBA Developmental League. Hayward, a first-round selection by Washington in 2010 and traded to Minnesota on draft day, played for Oklahoma City and Houston during the 2012-13 preseason. He averaged 1.4 points for the Thunder last season.
