He DID touch the ball. Tonight in the Pac-12 Tournament, the Arizona Wildcats lost to UCLA in a tough one, 66-64 — and Wildcat head coach Sean Miller is not happy with the refs about it. Miller isn’t whining that the refs were bad all game or that his team came up with the short end of the stick in general — no, he’s upset with a technical that was called on him near the end of the game. With 4:37 left in the game, Arizona guard Mark Lyons drove into the lane, was stripped by a UCLA defender, but managed to recollect his dribble and keep going — except the refs called him for a double-dribble. Miller then yelled several times “He touched the ball! He touched the ball!” and quickly was given a technical. Replays prove Miller to be spot on, and those two points turned out to be critical as that was the final deficit. In his postgame presser, Miller defends himself, stating that he wasn’t out of control, indirectly blaming the referees. Miller also goes off about how hard his players have worked all year. Check out the video below – you really get the sense of how much Miller cares about his players.  Sean Miller addressed the technical foul several times in the postgame presser: The first: twitter.com/DougHaller/sta… — Doug Haller (@DougHaller) March 16, 2013 More of Sean Miller’s comments on the technical foul: twitter.com/DougHaller/sta… — Doug Haller (@DougHaller) March 16, 2013 Sean Miller’s press conference is the greatest thing ever. Watch it. “Screw this conference” — K. DeMarco (@moodemarco) March 16, 2013 Just saw Sean Miller’s explanation of the technical. I want to suit up and run through a wall for him now. — Brian Pedersen (@realBJP) March 16, 2013 Just heard the clip of Sean Miller’s press conference. I’d play for him in a heartbeat. — Nkwa Asonye (@N_Asonye) March 16, 2013
