Mike Piazza ventured into a territory generally considered off limits when he criticized iconic Dodgers announcer Vin Scully in his new book, “Long Shot.” Piazza’s book was released this week, and news outlets have been sharing various excerpts from the autobiography. Many of the reviews have been positive, such as when it was revealed Piazza began taking karate lessons to prepare for a fight with Roger Clemens. But there has been backlash toward Piazza for his criticism of Scully. According to the Los Angeles Times, in his book, Piazza blames Scully for turning the city of Los Angeles against him during his contract dispute with the club in 1998. This was partially because of his contract, but the fact is that both the statistics and the scouting reports matched up to say that he looked more like a #5 than a #1. The velocity he once had (as high as...

Carl Crawford, now a member of the Los Angeles Dodgers, bitterly recalls his time with the Boston Red Sox, referring to the environment as "toxic."

The Perfect Clayton Kershaw Card, The Perfect Printing Plate.

I suppose this is like a Valentine's Day gift to myself even though this purchase occurred at some point in the second half of 2012. That's right, it was so long ago I don't even know the month it became mine. Nevertheless, it was a card I instantly had to have and knew I would end up spending way more money on than I should because of its sheer awesomeness.Where to start...

Updated 2/14/2013 Your browser does not support iframes.   To this day, I don’t know beyond a doubt what Clemens was truly intending or thinking. But with the extra clarity that comes with time, perspective, and video, I’ll go this far: there should have been a fight. It...
