So I have been very absent of late.  There’s work, then the whole family got really sick, plus it’s really hard to write these articles when your team continuously lets you down.  However, every once in awhile, your team will show you a glimmer of light that you forgot it had and it can change everything.  That glimmer of light is a cold-stone whooping on the defending Super Bowl Champions.  So now I have to ask the question, “Who are you…and what have you done with my football team?” Now to be fair, as Bengals fans we know what our team is capable of.  We know how talented our QB can be and how he can use any and all weapons around him to make the other team’s defense look silly.  We know how talented our defense can be when they rotate the line efficiently, put pressure on the QB and stop the run.  We know how talented our special teams can be when they make the right choice and then stick to it.  As Bengals fans WE KNOW how talented our team CAN be.  The problem is that they don’t live up to their own talent and our expectations most of the time.  I guess it’s part of being a Bengal.  However, this past Sunday, they lived up to both ends.  Let’s look ahead. Week 1: Mon, Sep 10 – Cincinnati at Baltimore Ravens, 7 p.m. ET (ESPN) 13-44  L 0-1 1-0 on Picks Week 2: Sun, Sep 16 – Cleveland Browns at Cincinnati, 1 p.m. ET (CBS) 37-27   W 1-1 2-0 on Picks Week 3: Sun, Sep 23 – Cincinnati at Washington Redskins, 1 p.m. ET (CBS) 38-31 W 2-1 3-0 on Picks Week 4: Sun, Sep 30 – Cincinnati at Jacksonville Jaguars, 4:05 p.m. ET (CBS) 27-10 W 3-1 4-0 on Picks Week 5: Sun, Oct 7 – Miami Dolphins at Cincinnati, 1 p.m. ET (CBS) 17-13  L 3-2 4-1 on Picks Week 6: Sun, Oct 14 – Cincinnati at Cleveland, 1 p.m. ET (CBS) 34-24 L 3-3 4-2 on Picks Week 7: Sun, Oct 21 – Pittsburgh Steelers at Cincinnati, 8:20 p.m. ET (NBC) 12-17 L 3-4 4-3 on Picks Week 8: BYE Week 9: Sun, Nov 4 – Denver Broncos at Cincinnati, 1 p.m. ET (CBS) 31-23 L 3-5 4-4 on Picks Week 10: Sun, Nov 11 – New York Giants at Cincinnati, 1 p.m. ET (FOX) 31-13 W 4-5 4-5 on Picks Week 11: Sun, Nov 18 – Cincinnati at Kansas City Chiefs, 1 p.m. ET (CBS) I’m gonna be honest.  I picked our boys to lose last week and they shoved it down my throat.  I will eat it gladly boys.  This week I know is a win.  If people thought that the Giant’s secondary had holes in it then the Chiefs have craters.  Their secondary, whether it’s man or zone, leave WAY to much room for receivers to catch the ball.  That’s a plus considering our yards after the catch stat is so awesome…I couldn’t find it anywhere to include it in this article, but it’s awesome!  Dalton is going to have a field day and since all my buddies on the podcast made ‘Bold Predictions’ this Wednesday then I’ll make one as well.  Dalton throws for 400 yards.  However, I would love to see Peerman carry the ball a little bit more.  I think we’ve got gold there and we need to use it.  Same for Sanu…couldn’t have been happier with his performance last week. As far as D goes…our boys SHOULD pick Cassel apart.  We’ve got to do one of two things.  Either get up early or stop the run.  One of those is going to force Cassel to throw the ball more which will give us more of a chance to put pressure on him which will make him throw INTs.  Turnovers = Ws.  I know Marvin has been saying it for years but I’m saying it know.  Let’s dominate that turnover margin again!  Wow…that sounds so sexy when I say it like that.  Anyways…should be another big week.  Can’t get over confident but confidence is exactly what this team needs right now.  Especially after a big win like last week.  35-10 win at Arrowhead.  WHO DEY boys!!! W 5-5 Week 12: Sun, Nov 25 – Oakland Raiders at Cincinnati, 1 p.m. ET (CBS) W 6-5 Week 13: Sun, Dec 2 – Cincinnati at San Diego Chargers, 4:15 p.m. ET (CBS) W 7-5 Week 14: Sun, Dec 9 – Dallas Cowboys at Cincinnati, 1 p.m. ET (FOX) L 7-6 Week 15: Thu, Dec 13 – Cincinnati at Philadelphia Eagles, 8:20 p.m. ET (NFL) W 8-6 Week 16: Sun, Dec 23 – Cincinnati at Pittsburgh, 1 p.m. ET (CBS) W 9-6 Week 17: Sun, Dec 30 – Baltimore at Cincinnati, 1 p.m. ET (CBS) W 10-6

A.J. Green catches TD pass with one hand

AJ Green of the Cincinati Bengals made an unbelievable one-handed grab while somehow keeping his feet inbounds for a touchdown during the first quarter of their match-up against the Kansas City Chiefs.  The touchdown put the Bengals up 7-3 early in the game, and the grab will surely be on everyone’s highlight reel for the forseeable future.  The catch was AJ’s 9th straight...

The Bengals are going to put up some nice fantasy numbers this week. Week 11 Fantasy Starters.

The Bengals are coming off a big win last week and should take advantage of a weak Chiefs team. Here's a quick look at some Week 11 Starters.  You know the obvious choices, here are some to consider. QB's - Carson Palmer - The Raiders have no running backs healthy, the Saints are going to put up 50 and have no defense.  This all points to good things for the Raiders...

Cedric Peerman To Get More Touches?

I need a chance to take off Juan… Let’s face it, BenJarvis Green-Ellis is an average NFL running back.  Belichick knew it.  He doesn’t do anything great and from a fantasy perspective has been truly disappointing. The Bengals are saying they want to get Cedric Peerman more involved and I cosign on that idea.  OC Jay Gruden came out this week and siad the following: Gruden...

Dalton, Green lead Bengals past Chiefs, 28-6

The Bengals had been written off just two weeks ago, when they were slogging their way through four straight losses that had cynics everywhere saying same `ol Cincy. How things can change after just a couple of victories. The first came against the Super Bowl champion New York Giants, the kind of win that causes people to start paying attention. The second came Sunday, a 28-6 rout...

Mohamed Sanu Gets Praise

Better throwing motion than Tebow Juan… The Bengals have been searching for a partner in crime for their star WR, AJ Green.  After a slow start to the season, Sanu has started to emerge a bit. Andy Dalton: “He’s starting to emerge and it’s good to see. Early on, when he first got here in OTAs and minicamp and things like that, you could tell he had a great feel for the game...

How the Bengals will beat the Chiefs

At the beginning of the season, I thought the Chiefs were going to be a much better team than what they have achieved this far. They have a good line on both sides of the ball, solid linebackers and secondary. Great running back, top tier wide out. What they don’t have is a quarterback. The Chiefs are really good this season at giving the ball away.  Matt Cassel is an interception...

Why the one win Kansas City Chiefs can hold serve at home against the Cincinnati Bengals

Last week the Cincinnati Bengals knocked off the defending Super Bowl champs in convincing fashion while the Kansas City Chiefs dropped a game in overtime to the Steelers thanks largely to their inability to win the turnover battle. These are teams heading in different directions in the short term, and at least in terms of the Chiefs’ struggles over the course of the season as...
