TEAMS:
New York Yankees
As a result of Phil Hughes’ injury and their relatively thin
rotation depth, the New York Yankees are “fishing around for a veteran to put
at Triple-A,” according to Joel Sherman of The New York Post.
The Yankees currently have a projected starting three of
CC Sabathia, Hiroki Kuroda and Andy Pettitte. Hughes was supposed to check
into the No. 4 spot, but his injury would now put both Ivan Nova and David
Phelps, who were competing for the final rotation slot, into New York’s starting
staff. The next man up would be Adam Warren while the Yankees waited on Michael
Pineda to return from injury.
New York has been connected to veteran right-hander
Chien-Ming Wang recently. The former Yankees’ starter is going to pitch for
Taiwan in the World Baseball Classic, and New York will be there to monitor his
progress.
While Wang is an option, other veteran arms remaining on the
free agent market include Carlos Zambrano, Carl Pavano, Derek Lowe and Roy

At age 38 New York Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter time in the major leagues is coming to an end soon. While many had begun to write him off before this previous season, Jeter responded with batting .316 over the course of the season. A number many had assumed Jeter could never reach again.

Fantasy Baseball Draft Strategy: Why Robinson Cano Is Not a 1st- Rounder
Source: Elsa/Getty Images North America
I was doing a mock draft with a buddy last night, and he had the fourth overall pick. This is probably the most interesting pick in the entire draft assuming Trout, Braun, and Miggy go one-two-three in some order. The fourth pick can go any number of ways. There are several excellent outfielders who offer a power/speed combo like Andrew McCuthcen...
Kevin Youkilis, Yankees ‘Laugh Off’ His ‘I’ll Always Be a Red Sox’ Comment (Video)
It’s a good thing his new teammates have a good sense of humor.
Kevin Youkilis, who recently told the media that he’ll “always be a Red Sox,” entered camp earlier this month with his new Yankee teammates. While there was some ribbing going on, Youk told the YES Network that he and his fellow Yanks were able to laugh off his comments and any other “non-stories” that came...

Alex Rodriguez and Lady Gaga don't seem to run in the same circles, but they do have a lot in common.
Besides both of them claiming they were Born This Way, dealing with Paparazzi and — just like A-Rod's reported drug mule cousin Yuri Sucart — the blond songstress has been banned from the Yankees clubhouse.
Now the injured pop star and the rehabbing New York Yankees...
