This may not be the most competitive game of the night, and there’s little hope of the action matching the hype, but you wouldn’t know it from where I’m sitting in Lexington.

The state has been drunk since about 5:30 on Thursday, as Lexington formally declared a four day weekend in anticipation for not only tonight’s matchup, but for Monday’s championship game as well. The city has no doubt UK will be playing in the final, so why pretend as if any work will get done Monday morning?

UK is favored by 8 ½, but it shouldn’t even be that close. If Louisville was named Drexel, the line would be at 15. UK is playing for both it’s coach and it’s senior leader, Kentucky-native Darius Miller. Miller grew up loving Kentucky and hating the Cards, so combine that with Kentucky clearly being the best team in the nation, Louisville being awful at everything except its execution of a zone defense and Kentucky having a better player at every position, and this could be a rout.

How Louisville can win: Davis’ knee gives out, MKG starts shooting bad jumpers, Terrance Jones disappears into the Springfield Mystery Spot and Eloy Vargas gets significant minutes.
