How did Quentin Richardson get so fat?

That article link just goes to a picture. I noticed him looking bigger over time on TV, but it wasn't until I went to the Knicks game against Portland on 3/8 that I noticed just how fat he actually is. He can barely run anymore, he looks like he can't even dunk. All he does is just bomb up shots and then lumber back down the court and pretend to play D. I don't know if his back problems are keeping him from exercising off the court, but he has to do something. He is almost the size of Eddy Curry. And he is startiun to rub it off on Fred Jones
