Colorado State head basketball coach Larry Eustachy did extremely well in his first season with the Rams. Eustachy took over as head coach in 2012, and led CSU to an incredible 26-9 regular season record, as well as a berth in the NCAA tournament. They beat Missouri in their first game before losing to eventual-champion Louisville. The success of last season's team undoubtedly helped Eustachy earn a new contract in the offseason. The deal was so lucrative that it made him the highest-paid coach in the Mountain West Conference. Naturally, fans have high expectations heading into the new season, but Eustachy provided a humorous answer when asked about fans expecting the Rams to be better in 2013 than they were in 2012. "They did legalize weed here," Eustachy said in reference to a new law passed by Colorado that essentially legalized marijuana. The sad truth is that this year looks like a rebuilding one for the Rams after losing all five starters from last year's squad. Additionally, Colorado State was picked to finish sixth in the conference in a preseason media poll. So, although fans might be expecting another glorious season from Eustachy and the team, it might very well be the influence of old Mary Jane. Via For the Win
