After sitting out two exhibition games because of a suspension, Chane Behanan returned to the lineup for the University of Louisville basketball team on Sunday. Behanan had nine rebounds and eight points and then coach Rick Pitino talked about his game and his focus after the win over Manhattan.

Rick Pitino and the Louisville basketball program are expecting to receive signed letters of intent today from their four commitments from the 2013 class. The early signing period starts today and will end on Nov. 21. All four of Louisville’s commitments are expected to sign and send their paper work to UofL via fax machine.

Fortunately for the University for Louisville, unfortunately for Manhattan College, the combination of Hurricane Sandy and The Super Storm left Manhattan with even less time to get ready. The visitors were also minus their leading scorer.
The Cards had a slow start, but used a 51-point second half to cruise to a 79-51 season opening win against Manhattan. Russ Smith led all scorers with 23 points. He also had 5 steals with just 2 turnovers. Russ is playing at a very high level right now.
