Eastern defeats Oakland 81-79 in OT

Eastern Michigan took advantage of a poor shooting Oakland team and 11 points in overtime to defeat the Golden Grizzlies 81-79 from the Orena in Rochester. Mike Talley led the way for the Eagles with 21 points while Da’Shonte Riley and Glenn Bryant also scored in double figures for the starters netting 10 and 14 points respectively. Darell Combs added 13 points off the bench in the win.

Eagles defeat Cleveland State 81-69

Eastern Michigan used a 49 points second half to defeat Cleveland State 81-69 Monday night from the Convocation Center in Ypsilanti. Holding Cleveland State to a .299 field goal percentage, the Eagles got 28 points and 6 rebounds from Karrington Ward who led all scorers on the night.
