Miami coach Al Golden is confident rising senior QB Stephen Morris will be one of the country's top signal callers in 2013Junior Miami quarterback Stephen Morris has been one of the hottest quarterbacks in college the through the last stretch of the season. Morris threw for 11 touchdowns and no interceptions in the Hurricanes' final four games of the 2012 season and is an NFL prospect to monitor in 2013. "He’s been spectacular," Golden said. "We had maybe the hottest quarterback in the country the [final] four games. He has grown into a man. His leadership is extraordinary". Morris can certainly build on his legacy at Miami, and boost his draft stock if he were to stay for his senior season. Morris started all 12 games under center, and showed no adverse signs from offseason back surgery, throwing for career-best 3,345 yards and 21 touchdowns, while completing 58.2 percent of passes (245-of-421).Eastern Washington QB Kyle Padron will enter the NFL DrafAfter transferring from Southern Methodist last season to Eastern Washington, he did not see adequate playing time on the field. Due to this, a jump to the NFL may seem logical. In his 21 games as a starter at SMU, Padron led the Mustangs to a 12-9 record – 5-1 as a freshman, 7-7 as a sophomore and 0-1 as a junior. Padron ended his SMU career with the school’s career record for passing efficiency (142.0 rating) and average total offense per game (259.9). In March 2012, Padron announced his transfer to Eastern Washington, where he would be attempting to replace graduating quarterback Bo Levi Mitchell, whom he had replaced at SMU back in 2009.
