The Florida State University football program received some bad news on Thursday. DE Bjoern Werner will declare for the 2013 NFL Draft. Werner will forgo his senior season with the Seminoles, coming off a very productive season where he recorded 13 sacks. The German exchange student possesses a high motor and is regarded as a power rusher.
Werner told reporters that he made his decision after discussions with his wife. “After sitting fown with my wife, Denise, and gathering as much information, I’ve decided to move on and enter the NFL Draft. I’ve enjoyed my time at FSU and will cherish my times as a Seminole.”
Seminoles head coach Jimbo Fisher told the media that he supported Werner’s decision and saying that he had made the best decision. Werner is projected as a top-10 selection in April’s draft.
