South Carolina running back Marcus Lattimore has declared himself eligible for the 2013 NFL Draft and expects to be ready to play in the 2013 regular season. Lattimore suffered a horrific season ending knee injury in October, an injury that dislocated his right knee, tearing multiple ligaments. This is the second major knee injury Lattimore has suffered, tearing his ACL the year prior. The South Carolina back accounted for 2,677 yards and 38 scores during his time with the Gamecocks. Lattimore’s recovery is ahead of schedule and he is just two weeks away from jogging. Lattimore told USA Today that Dr. James Andrews told him the he (Lattimore) is doing remarkable and that he is going to shock the world with his recovery.
