Former LSU cornerback Tyrann Mathieu has declared for the 2013 NFL Draft and he is working at repairing his tarnished image. Mathieu is spending the week at the Senior Bowl in Mobile, Alabama in order to meet with NFL executives. The player nicknamed the Honey Badger was kicked off the LSU football team and did not play football in the 2012 season.
Mathieu was arrested along with three teammates in October for marijuana possession.
Reports suggest that Mathieu has met with representatives from the Washington Redskins, New York Jets and the Miami Dolphins. Mathieu possesses a unique skill set and at one point was a former Heisman Trophy candidate. There is little doubt that he will be selected in the upcoming lottery, but the question now is going to be when he’ll be selected.
