The defensive end that led the Utah Utes in sacks for the 2012 season, will forgo his senior season and declare himself eligible for the 2013 NFL Draft. Joe Kruger told the media on Wednesday he will enter the NFL draft process. The loss of Kruger, coupled with the loss of seniors, Star Lotuleli and Dave Kruger, now creates a sizable void on the Utes defensive line next season. Krueger, 6′ 7″ 275 pounds finished the season with 30 tackles, an interception that was returned for a touchdown and two forced fumbles. Kruger said the following in a prepared statement delivered to the media. “These past three years, I have been honored to be a part of a very special group of teammates and coaches at the University of Utah.
