Al Jefferson resigned with the Wolves and didn't get the max money, but the amazing thing is that he didn't want it.
2 Comments:
  • Re-sign not resign, makes us think he left or something.
  • Maybe more players should learn from this. Everyone wants max contracts and more money, but maybe some players, such as kobe, should think that maybe their teams could use the extra money and bring in that help you've wanted for so long.

Trailblazers 88, Timberwolves 83

In Minnesota tonight, on the back end of 2 straight games on the road, the Blazers dug deep to pull off a win. We seemed a bit lethargic early on and the 2nd quarter was a disaster. Eventually the Timberwolves wound down and Roy took over late to seal the victory. Al Jefferson once again dominated us offensively and for some reason LA was not a factor. The best part? Oden and Przybilla...

At the Hip: Behind the Glory of the Lopez Twins -- Week 1

There has been many a joke floating around the blogosphere regarding the potential of a Robin & Brook Lopez reality tv show. Joke no more, the voices have been heard. Oxygen Network recently announced it will be airing "At the Hip: Behind the Glory of the Lopez Twins" in one of its fall season slots, immediately preceding the second season of "Tori and Dean."...

5 Quick Thoughts vs. Minnesota 3/7

Not much to say about the game tonight between Portland and the Minnesota Timberwolves is there? The T-Wolves are awful, and the Blazers are almost unstoppable at home. Al Jefferson is out for the year, and he was basically the only factor in this series that could have helped this ...

It's Official, Big Al Is Big Ow!

According to Jerry Zgoda from the Star Tribune in Minneapolis, Al Jefferson was diagnosed with a Torn ACL today. You can watch the injury below.

Moving On Up Put On Hold; Jefferson Gone For Season With Torn ACL

The ?Associated Press? reported Monday that Minnesota Timberwolves center Al Jefferson has found his season has come to an abrupt finish because of injury. The player who was the centerpiece of the trade that sent Kevin Garnett to the Boston Celtics before last season, has suffered a torn ACL in his right knee, and is [...]

Day 104 of 170: Al Jefferson is to Basketball what Patrick Swayze is to ___________

Line of the Night: Al Jefferson (1.4) has always been an offensive force as he showed yesterday with 36 points on 16-30 shooting. But when he adds some defense to that equation like he did against Houston - 22 rebounds and 4 steals - the man is unstoppable fantasy wrecking machine with only one [...]

Greg Oden's Rehab Workouts

So with Andrew Bynum going down and now Al Jefferson, while at the sametime we're seeing Greg Oden get back on his feet and trying to make a difference in the game, its a good time to revisit when the situations were reversed and Oden was sidelined with a mcirofracture knee injury. (By the way, ...

2008 NBA Preview: #29 Minnesota Timberwolves

Offseason Movement: The team acquired Mike Miller as a part of a trade that sent the rights to O.J. Mayo to Memphis for the rights to Kevin Love. Miller is one of the league's best shooters, but he's a good all-around player at a fair price. He should be able to make teams pay if they elect to doubleteam Al Jefferson. Read the rest after the jump.

Grant Hill injured. AGAIN!!!

Co-Rookie of the Year (along with Jason Kidd) in 94'- 95'. Perennial NBA All-Star even after the plethora of injuries he suffered. Truly, Grant Hill is special. But can he ever stay healthy since breaking his foot in the 2000? I was hoping it would be this year. Fate had other plans. The Associated Press reported: PHOENIX...

Let's Make Antoine An All-Star

But I started to put myself in Antoine's shoes. He's an aging star on a steep decline. A guy who enjoyed the limelight like no other. Buried on the T'wolves bench, he's finally relevant again -- even if it's for the wrong reasons. Maybe he doesn't deserve to make the All-Star team over guys like Dirk Nowitzki, Tim Duncan, Carlos Boozer, or his teammate...

Celtics News & Notes v.1.2

Some updates for the Celtics, including Dana Barros, lots of Tony Allen and some Al Jefferson and Gabe Pruitt mixed in.

Day 98 of 170: Al Jefferson Beast Mode

Happy Groundhog Day! Hope everyone (especially my peeps in the North) is enjoying the sun! I can’t wait for another 6 weeks of winter to see how long the snow stays on the ground! Line of the Night: Al Jefferson (1.19) was the only one to top the 1.00 mark last night with his 34 points, [...]
