I see Feliz as slick with the glove, capable of high 20's to 30's in homers, particularly playing half of his games in Citizens Bank Park, near 100 RBIs and capable of hitting in the .270's to .280's.
Apparently, no less than all-time great and Hall of Fame 3rd baseman Mike Schmidt would seem to agree with my assessmnent.

The Philadelphia Phillis pulled a prank on pitcher Kyle Kendrick as they told him he was being traded to Japan for Kobayashi. Kendrick doesn't recognize the name Kobayashi, and signs the papers while looking a bit confused. Check out the video to get the full effect, but basically he got punked big time by his boys.

This is one that the Phillies might not mind losing. Ryan Howard won his arbitration case against the Phillies, earning the 10 million he asked for, instead of the 7 million the Phillies offered. Today is Ryan Howard's arbitration hearing. Arbiters will be deciding whether the big slugger will earn 7 million or 10 million next year.
We won't hear the results of today's hearing until sometime tomorrow. My prediction? Given that no player has won his arbitration case this year, the Phillies are 7-0 lifetime, and receiveing 10 million in an arbitration case would...

Ryan Howard gets his $10 million. In my opinion, I think he deserves this money. Now I hope he goes out there and shows everyone again why he deserves the $10 mil. This guy has been awesome. Congrats Howard but don't spend it all in one place.

You knew that Jimmy Rollins would respond, especially after Carlos Beltran mentioned the reigning NL MVP by name while making his claim that the Mets are "the team to beat". The Phillies as a team shrugged off responding to Beltran's claim, waiting for their team leader to fire back once he arrived at Spring Training.

There is an interesting article today at Philly.com by Todd Zolecki discussing Pat Burrell and his future with the Phillies. Burrell is in the final year of the $50 million dollar contract he signed back in 2003. Zolecki speculates that Burrell could be in for a big year as he looks to cash in as a free agent one last time, whether it is with the Phils or another team.

Today (February 20th) is the day that Ryan Howard and the Philadelphia Phillies meet for an arbitration hearing to decide Howard's 2008 salary. RyHo wants $10 million while the Phils are countering with $7 million. Not that Howard isn't worth $10+ million in today's world of Major League Baseball, but I'm guessing based on the current salary structures and past values...

Last winter/spring Jimmy Rollins called the Phillies "the team to beat". Unoriginal rip-off artist Carlos Beltran belted back this season with "To Jimmy Rollins, we are the team to beat".
