I was surprised Green was only an all-star twice. He had some monster seasons before Dodgers Stadium and Shea Stadium destroyed his career.

Sure Dodger Stadium may have taken away some of his "homers" but he did hit 49 and 42 as a member of the team in back to back years. he had some monster seasons but seemed to just slowly run out of gas with the Dodgers. By the time he joined the mets after a stay in Arizona he was nothing more then a fourth outfielder.

Is there such a thing as a "must win" in spring training? After the Mets got pounded 7-0 by the Juan-gone juiced(?) Cardinals yesterday and with organizational savior Johan Santana making his Mets debut on the hill, the argument could be made that this is in fact, a must win for the Metropolitans.

For the past few weeks Yankee Stadium security has banned all insulting or derogatory chanting from the bleachers. The banning spawned from an incident when the Yankees were playing the Mets and someone made an anti-Semitic remark to the Mets Jewish right fielder, Shawn Green.
