It has been a common trend to see Charlie Strong and staff really pickup their energy with recruiting once the regular season ends. That is exactly what’s going on right now for the Louisville football program. It’s been known for quite some time that Coach Strong will have to carefully select who to bring in for the 2013 class, due to a limited amount of scholarships. In fact, sometimes you’ll see a school tell a recruit that it isn’t going to work out and they’ll need to look at other schools. That is exactly what has happened with Louisville in the last week. Jacarthy Mack, a 3-star linebacker from Lithonia, GA., had been committed to Louisville in March, but decided to reopen his recruiting over the weekend. It is belie...

Charlie Strong Targeting Defensive Backs For The 2013 Class

Charlie Strong said at last week’s press conference that he and his staff have to be selective about who they add in the 2013 class, but bigger defensive backs is something they’ll target. “Nothing wrong with the little guys, but as we’ve seen, that ball can be thrown over top of them,” Strong said.
