I have been fortunate to be on hand for the ACC Football Kickoff each of the past three years, but unfortunately I will be sitting this season out and trying to keep up with the flow of information from behind my laptop at home. But just because I am not down in Greensboro, North Carolina does not mean I have a lacking interest in this year’s ACC football. How could I not be with the conference adding Syracuse and Pittsburgh this season and Louisville next season, Florida State coming off their first ACC title since Bobby Bowden was on the sidelines and Clemson looking to live up to some preseason hype with a dynamic roster returning in the fall. Here are some of the stories I’ll be paying attention to in the conference this season, beginning with the ACC Football Kickoff Sunday. 1. Clemson quarterback Tajh Boyd not scared of Jadeveon Clowney South Carolina defensive end, and the best player in the country p erhaps, Jadeveon Clowney was a big draw on day one of the SEC media days th...

Photo: Tajh Boyd Takes Ridiculous “Heisman” Photo Wearing A Crown

Clemson quarterback Tajh Boyd was easily the “king” of today’s ACC Kickoff. There’s even a photo to prove it. The conference had a photo booth (like you’d see at a wedding) for the event, so players were taking funny pictures all day long. Boyd appears to have used as many props as he could, including holding a “Heisman” sign. Pretty funny.

Boyd, Renner talk Clowney's 'scared' quote

GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Clemson quarterback Tajh Boyd was recently referenced by the nightmare-inducing South Carolina defensive end Jadeveon Clowney as one of many quarterbacks who Clowney feels is afraid of him. (Clowneys quote about Boyd is here, for the record.) Boyd responded as youd expect a guy who is the team leader to respond: Im not afraid of him. Never been in my nature,...

Video: Clemson’s Tajh Boyd Sings Eric Church’s “Springsteen” At ACC Kickoff

Clemson quarterback Tajh Boyd seems like a fun-loving guy. Earlier today, we saw photos of him donning a crown, sunglasses and a bow tie at the ACC Kickoff. Now, we’re learning that he apparently likes to sing country tunes as well. Boyd sang a few lines from Eric Church’s “Springsteen” to get the day started. Check it out: We also learned that he’s been a fan of the song...

ACC Media Days: 3 Things to Watch on Day Two

GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Following a day in which Tajh Boyd singing the opening bars to an Eric Church song provided one of the few noteworthy moments, the spotlight turns to the ACC coaches for what promises to be a more intriguing day at the ACC Kickoff. Let's face it: Outside of Boyd and a select few other players in attendance, any star power the league possesses resides in its...

Tajh Boyd breaks out the country thunder at ACC Football Kickoff

Clemson Tigers QB Tajh Boyd spent a lot of the ACC Football Kickoff talking about Jadeveon Clowney. But he was also able to bust into some country music singing.

Renner Unfazed by Clowney Hype

GREENSBORO, N.C. – In case you haven’t heard, North Carolina will open the 2013 season against Jadeveon Clowney and his South Carolina Gamecocks on Aug. 29. Bryn Renner was pelted with more than a dozen questions about the defensive end during his ACC Kickoff interview session on Sunday.

Tajh Boyd talks about Jadeveon Clowney at ACC Football Kickoff

Clemson quarterback Tajh Boyd talked about South Carolina defensive end Jadeveon Clowney's "scared" comments during ACC Football Kickoff.

Officials: Clowney's highlight hit could warrant ejection under new rules

GREENSBORO, N.C. -- So, who remembers the play where South Carolina's Jadeveon Clowney nearly took Michigan running back Vincent Smith's head clean off his body? It was basically the best play in college football last season. So everyone saw it, right? And did anyone -- besides Smith, and his family members -- not think it was awesome? Not so fast. This year, that same...

Aaron Murray Says He Respects Jadeveon Clowney, But He’s ‘Definitely Not Scared’ of Him

Jadeveon Clowney probably scares most quarterbacks, even if they wouldn’t want to admit it. At 6-foot-6, 274 pounds, it’s easy to see why some would be scared of the South Carolina defensive lineman. Not only can he deliver bone-crushing hits, like the one he laid on Michigan’s Vincent Smith in last year’s Outback Bowl, but he can also run pretty fast for his size — 40...

ACC Kickoff notes

GREENSBORO, N.C. - For the first time since Jadeveon Clowney threw some trash talk towards Tajh Boyd, the Clemson quarterback had his chance to respond.

SEC Media Days recap

Texas A&M star QB Johnny Manziel was the spotlight of this year's SEC Media Days. With his recent off the field accolades and early departure from the Manning camp, Manziel had plenty of questions to answer, but he dodged and waffled around most of them. Johnny Football claims that he's just a "20 year old college kid" and hasn't changed since he won the...
