Texas A&M athletic director Eric Hyman just poked the Bear as in Bryant.
Hyman told a joke during a speech at a banquet Thursday night that won't go over well in Alabama.
"What do the moon and Texas A&M have in common? We control the Tide," Hyman said during the Brazos County A&M Club's Coach's Night. The banquet was at the Memorial Student Center on the A&M campus.
The joke was quoted in the Twitter feeds of both the Bryan-College Station Eagle newspaper (@Aggie_Sports) and of Houston ChronicleSan Antonio Express-News beat writer Brent Zwerneman (@BrentZwerneman). Both were covering the banquet.
Texas A&M upset No. 1 Alabama, 29-24, last November in Tuscaloosa, although the loss did not prevent the Crimson Tide from claiming another national championship in January.
