Throw The Flag:
In preparation for the Alabama Crimson Tide’s trip to Death Valley, Alabama fans have apparently attained LSU Tiger quarterback’s cell phone number. I’m sure they are sending him nice encouraging text messages and phone calls. It’s kind of ironic because LSU fans did the same thing to John Parker Wilson and Tim Tebow. I’m sure this will put a spark into the game of the week. Can Alabama and Nick Saban run the table and make it to a national title game or will Les Miles end the streak? Apparently Alabama fans have gotten a hold of Zach Mettenberger’s cell phone. — Bryan Fischer (@BryanDFischer) November 2, 2012 Never change SEC fans.

ONE DAY AT A TIME
Nick Saban turned 61 on Halloween and took a reporter along with him for the day. He did make one surprising revelation about the day.
Alabama coach Nick Saban says his top-ranked team rallied to beat LSU after heeding the example set by the elite Navy team that killed Osama bin Laden.
Walking that sometimes-debatable line between sports and war, Saban says he talked with his players before Saturday night's game about being ready when things went wrong. He cited the mission carried out in Pakistan by SEAL Team...
The most important week of the calendar year for LSU and Alabama fans has arrived, and as expected the friendly jabs are underway. As you can see from the photo above that Friends of the Program passed along, one or more LSU fans thought it would be funny to pin a tiger tail on a statue of Nick Saban at Alabama. They were right.
Over the years we have seen Alabama veterinary clinics...
Alabama coach Nick Saban says game manager is the ultimate compliment for a quarterback.
He says that's what the top-ranked Crimson Tide has in the nation's top-rated passer AJ McCarron. No. 5 LSU would love to get similar efficiency from strong-armed Zach Mettenberger in Saturday night's game.
Both are supported by punishing tailbacks and terrific defenses.
With LSU and Alabama set to face off for the third time in a year the Gameday crew rolled into Baton Rouge this morning. We'll see if it actually counts this time...

The Alabama Crimson Tide is the best team in college football.
In fact, this Alabama team might be Nick Saban’s best since arriving in Tuscaloosa...
Many deem being called a "game manager" as a negative thing. But that's not the case at Alabama. In fact, head coach Nick Saban said that is the ultimate compliment for a quarterback.
When Alabama and LSU meet on Saturday night in Baton Rouge, half of the four coaches in the Southeastern Conference who have won national championships will be on the field. Nick Saban has won two at Alabama and one at LSU and Les Miles has also won a national title at LSU.
Alabama is putting together a truly dominant year. To describe any part of the Crimson Tide as a "weakness" is really more a matter of degree.
That said, if 'Bama has a flaw, what would it be?
Aaron Torres: First off, I agree that to describe any "weakness" with Alabama is to nitpick at this point.

BATON ROUGE, LA No one could call this one boring.
That, of course, was the knock on the last two meetings between Alabama and LSU, the first being settled solely on the feet of the field goal kickers and the second, the BCS Championship Game, being another defensive slugfest that put many on the east coast asleep before halftime.
Not this one.
Unlike the other two, this year...
