Coaches Trophy awarded to the BCS National Champion (pictured). All 124 teams ranked at the end of the article. Jimbo Fisher is right in that we need to change how we pick teams, but humans may not be the best method.  The upcoming four team playoff will haul in loads of money and additional popularity for college football, but it could easily open the door wide open for further prejudice in the sport. The four teams for the new playoff to begin in 2014 are to be picked by a selection committee. As long as qualifiers for a playoff are determined by pre-made contracts and the "eye" test done by people, it is a system of prejudice to decide playoff and bowl teams. That is not to say that the BCS computers need brought back in 2014. The computers are/were equally corrupt due to the secrecy and over calculation that leads to some very strange rankings. A reasonable person realizes that a transparent mathematical system is the only fair way to rank teams in t...

Alabama’s Athletic Director Mal Moore has stepped forward to attempt to clear the air.    Please Click Here To Read This Story.

Saban in the NFL seems unthinkable, but ...

It is that time of year when rumors swirl and we must, once again, put 'Nick Saban' and 'the NFL' in the same sentences. After calling as many sources in Tuscaloosa as I could find the week before Christmas, the word is out and it is unanimous and adamant: Saban is not going to the pros, its off base. Its not happening. Stop asking. One source I spoke with started...

Nick Saban likely to Stay at Alabama

Nick Saban likely to Stay at AlabamaFor several weeks now, we’ve been hearing Nick Saban’s name churn in the rumor mill for the Cleveland Browns head coaching job, even though Pat Shurmur hasn’t even been fired…yet.  Saban’s wife, Terri told the media a couple of weeks ago, “Nick no longer feels the joy of winning.”  Pretty bold statement from Nick’s other half...

Saban, Alabama going through December traditions

It must be December because Alabama is preparing for a national title game and Nick Saban's future is a popular topic. The second-ranked Crimson Tide started practicing Tuesday for the BCS championship game Jan. 7 against No. 1 Notre Dame with All-America center Barrett Jones on the mend and Saban laughing off NFL rumors. Saban says his family is ''really, really pleased...

Mixed signals on Nick Saban possibly returning to the NFL

According to Jason Cole of Yahoo! Sports, there have been some mixed signals whether or not Alabama head coach Nick Saban will at some point head back to the NFL. On Tuesday, a longtime source was insistent that rumors about Saban leaving Alabama to return to the NFL are off-base. “That’s not happening,” the source said, emphatically. As I posted on Twitter, take the adamant...

Nick Saban Speculation Running Rampant, But Trent Richardson ‘Can’t See’ Former Coach Returning to NFL

Nick Saban‘s first go-round in the NFL didn’t go so well. Two more national championships — and possibly a third looming — later, though, speculation is running rampant that the Alabama head coach may once again make the jump to the pro ranks. Among those not exactly convinced that Saban is ready to do so, however, is Browns running back Trent Richardson, who played three...

Nick Saban Might Be Dawg Pound Bound

If the boogeyman were real, it would look exactly like this guy smiling. One of the worst (and sometimes best) things about sports talk radio is when the hosts open up the phone lines for all of the locals to rant and rave. Apparently, Jimmy from Parma has all the answers because why wouldn’t he? But this sort of thing is highly entertaining after the home team lost and the dumbest...

Saban, McCarron Passing On NFL

Alabama quarterback AJ McCarron said that he was not going to the NFL following this season. And we thought we had heard Nick Saban say the same thing. Nevertheless, as the Crimson Tide returned to practice, and Saban returned to media accessibility, the subjects were rehashed.

Saban approves of McCarron's decision to stay

Notebook: In his first post-season press conference, Alabama head coach Nick Saban addressed AJ McCarron's decision to come back for his senior year, rooting for Notre Dame as a kid and coaching in the NFL.

You can now buy this “ROLL TIDE” toothbrush

Well, I’ve been looking for a new toothbrush to use for awhile and I’ve finally found one. Do you like the Alabama Crimson Tide? Do you think that Alabama has actually won 14 champions? Then this tooth brush may be for you. I’ve always wanted a tooth brush that says ROLL TIDE on it that is Crimson and White. At least Alabama and Nick Saban are promoting good hygiene....

Richardson thinks Saban will stay at Alabama

BEREA, Ohio (AP) -- Trent Richardson doesn't think Nick Saban will follow him from Alabama to the Cleveland Browns. Saban, who will lead the Crimson Tide against Notre Dame in the BCS national championship game in Miami on Jan. 7, has been mentioned as a possible replacement in Cleveland if the Browns fire second-year coach Pat Shurmur at season's end. Richardson, a running...

RB Trent Richardson “shocked” if Nick Saban jumps to NFL

With the NFL regular season ending in just two weeks, the coaching rumor mill is spinning in high gear. One of the most popular rumors in recent weeks has been the possibility of University of Alabama head coach Nick Saban joining the NFL coaching ranks, with the Cleveland Browns. One former Crimson Tide and current Cleveland Browns player doesn’t see Saban jumping to the NFL,...
