Mark Dantonio Weekly Press Conference Coverage

MSU head coach Mark Dantonio held his weekly press conference Wednesday in the auditorium at the Smith Center. Dantonio recapped the victory over Ohio State and talked about the team's plans for the bye week. The Spartans will return to action Saturday, Oct. 15 to face Michigan in Spartan Stadium. Kickoff is set for noon and the game will be televised on ESPN.

M. Golf. Men's Golf Place Ninth at Rees Jones Intercollegiate

The Michigan State men's golf team finished in a tie for ninth at the 2011 Rees Jones Invitational on Tuesday at the Rees Jones Signature Course at Haig Point Golf Club. The Spartans shot a final round 23-over par 311 today to complete the week at 55-over 919 (306-302-311). The Michigan State women's tennis program has announced the hiring of Tyler Faulkner as the new assistant coach. Faulker, a recent graduate student from Troy University, joins the Spartans as they look to build upon a successful 2011-12 campaign.

Michigan State got a late goal from freshman Adam Montague to record a 2-1 victory over visiting Milwaukee on Tuesday afternoon at DeMartin Stadium. Montague and senior Mark Barone each had a goal and an assist in the victory, which pushes MSU's record to 3-6-2 overall. Milwaukee falls to 5-6-0.
