The Sun Devils proved to the Big Ten that they are no match to play with boys from the Pac-12 when they come to the desert.
It helped that the Illini did not have their best offensive weapon (Nathan Scheelhaase), but give credit to an explosive offense that exposed the Big Ten’s defense.
Arizona State proved that their quarterback Taylor Kelly can dish the ball out to every single player on the roster if need be.
Kelly threw for 249 yards and 1 TD whereas his backup Michael Eubank was a touchdown machine when he was given a few opportunities.
Eubank ran for 1 TD, but he threw for a pair and was perfect in the process (5-for-5).
The star of the game offensively was tight end Chris Coyle who snagged in 10 passes for 131 yards and 2 TD, making the Illini defense look slow and inexperienced for the majority of the night.
If the defense can play even better with the return of their top player...
