Corey McCarty was arrested early Saturday morning and charged with first-degree burglary in conjunction with the robbery at the home of Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops, according to the Norman Police Department.
McCarty, 21, was detained when Oklahoma City police were breaking up a party, according to ESPN.com. McCarty then waived his Miranda rights and confessed. Another suspected was arrested but a name was not released. McCarty was charged with stolen property, larceny of a motor vehicle and use of a stolen credit card.
The home was broken into Wednesday while the family was asleep. No one was hurt, but a vehicle and cash were stolen. Norman police released video footage footage of two people suspected in the break-in.
